Description
In 2019, Bajaj reintroduced its popular scooter, the Chetak, in an all-electric form. Despite being light on features and performance numbers, the scooter comes in two variants and stands out with its impressive build quality that evokes a sense of familiarity and security. The Chetak's design is a nod to the classic model, but its electric powertrain provides a modern twist. The scooter has a range of around 95 km on a single charge and can be charged via a regular household outlet. As a result of Ola Electric re-jigging its entire lineup, the S1 Air has now become the mid-spec variant in the lineup, slotting in between the S1 Pro and the newly-launched S1 X. The S1 Air was originally promised as a more basic offering which would compete with the lower-priced electric scooters, but a lot has changed since the subsidy slash that took place, resulting in a slightly higher price tag and a larger electric motor in the S1 Air.
