Description
In 2019, Bajaj reintroduced its popular scooter, the Chetak, in an all-electric form. Despite being light on features and performance numbers, the scooter comes in two variants and stands out with its impressive build quality that evokes a sense of familiarity and security. The Chetak's design is a nod to the classic model, but its electric powertrain provides a modern twist. The scooter has a range of around 95 km on a single charge and can be charged via a regular household outlet. Ather has also added a new entry-level variant of the 450X to compete against the Ola S1 Air and other lower-priced electric scooters. While it gets the same range and performance figures as the fully-loaded variant (now known as the Pro Pack), the removal of many key features do raise the question of whether should you buy it over the Ola, but it still makes a compelling case for itself against other similarly priced electric scooters.
